Because it's not stealth game, once the monsters alert

they'll be all alerted

The fine tune is about finding player's position

but that's also only good for stealth games

Therefore the best option to explore AI is

To work on decision making

How do they decide which state should they take

And how to go back and making decision again

The advance tactic for AIs is tempting for exploring

But I'd rather not bother right now
Because I want to have a firm foundation

And I don't have that much time before end/new year holiday

And my archnemesis "what happen when they died"

In my first project for UE4 I spent 2 weeks to figure out

Why the death state is not working

I didn't find the answer until recently

It's because I don't need that object with AI attached anymore

And the behavior didn't stop there like I coded

So I decided to just delete the object with AI

then spawn the object that only play death animation

before disappear in case I don't want corpses lying around

It's a tough fight from now on

And yesterday I was too sick to work on anything

Now I'm low on stamina and might as well sleep soon

So I'll take it easy for now

But it seems I can't take any holiday this week

Otherwise I would miss a good opportunity.

The fundamental of behavioral design for AI

is already achived since I had been working for 7 years

therefore I finished basic, intermediate, and advance AI design

at least for this project which only covered quite basic parts

But I know for sure that the more advance AI is not required

at least for my next several games

Because I don't plan to do something too advance

Well if I could achieved the implementation for this tech

I'll be able to make the full game of my dream games

at least the AI part because it's the hardest one and key

for the future projects

It's about 15 minutes since I started

but my stamina is getting low because I'm sick

I don't want to force myself too much because it might get worse

I'm sipping home made medicine

It's more bitter than when you chew the pills

And it's much more potent, so I have to slowly consume it

I want to write more about my future games

But my brain isn't functioning right now

So I'd say, I'll throw everything to unlock this tech

It's crucial for everything I'll make in the future

I had been studying about AI in UE4 for several days now

I didn't fully rest the whole week so kinda burnout now

At first I tried to finish the prototype

Because I want Matt Aspland to play it

But after some time I realized that

This whole project couldn't even considered as prototype

It's more like Tech demo to begin with

Which is far from being prototype

Both because the lack of concept and level design

I don't want to enforce too much willpower to work

Because once I'm done that I'll be too worn out

Might as well bedridden for a month like before

I had been spacing out while doing something too

Just like while I was typing this I also spaced out

It seems the limit is pretty close or rather it's already reached

I could grasp the concept while studying pretty easily

I even passionate about everything here

But why do I be like this

Don't understand at all

Well since I'm realized that this super small project

Is taking quite longer than I expected

And the scale is far from being prototype

Nowhere near being the full game

I'll just take it easy

Though, I know full well once I'm finish this section

The project is basically done

The whole project is just player kill monster

And monster can move to attack player

And I also know full well that

This is the neccessary step toward my dream goals

To laid the foundation for my future projects

I have to dedicate everything in order to unlock the tech

Who would have thought that

In order to make a proper game

The rough path is neccessary

PS.It seems the format on itch is different from my text editor so it's harder to read, I'll make sure to put something instead of just space to fill the gape when I want to split the passages.
